Job Description

The Creative Director leads the advertising and marketing campaigns for clients here at IBD Media Inc. Working with designers, artists, copywriters, sales teams and marketers to create a vision for the clients advertising needs. The Creative Directors' role here at IBD Media Inc is to plan advertising, oversee the creative process and give guidance to the creative staff that work under them.  The Need to be familiar with the entire works of the Digital Designer (recommend knowing what is expected under our job descriptions of the Digital Designers Responsibilities and Qualification. Must be familiar and great at working with Photo Adobe & Illustrator (Premier Pro) for tools in providing design solutions for the Digital Media Designs for the Billboards and Social Media Needs for our clients with our company.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Articulate concepts to art designers and project leaders with clear detailed instructions and concepts

  • Designs digital advertising including standard display ads, e-blasts, Commercial-Style videos and editing video content used from the productions.

  • Consolidates material and produces creative work within predetermined timeframe

  • Demonstrate digital and marketing design skills and create new designs

  • Knowledge of Facebook Instagram paid ad platforms and the ability to create high performing content for each channel.

  • Plan and create Social Media creative to match the company’s message to social media followers

  • Manages client expectations through analysis of creative concepts and execution of design updates when deemed necessary

  • Reviews ad submission materials and explains technical production and serving issues clearly to designer, sales support staff, sales associates, agencies and clients

  • Conducts final proof of advertising messages before creative is released for launch, editing for readability, style and accuracy

  • Utilizes clients platforms to execute and track engagement of rich advertising functionality

  • Create templates for web, print, and other marketing materials

  • Works closely with Management and sales associates on advertising operations support to ensure that digital campaigns run promptly, efficiently and effectively to provide the best value and results for our users and advertisers

  • Completes assigned creative requests in communicating status of projects in queue to sales associates, teammates and Digital Design Manager

  • Acts as subject matter expert and direct point of contact for creative vendors, attending webinars on new releases and best practices, documenting processes and communicating updates to design teammates (Covered under the company expenses).

 

Qualifications:

Required skills include advanced experience utilizing graphics programs within the Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Photoshop, Illustrator & Flash. These creative abilities should be visible through the implementation of design elements in the applicant’s previous work.

 

Added Plus if knowledgable on but NOT required of: JavaScript, responsive HTML coding, HTML5 ad creation, web production, including how materials are processed and published.

  • 1-4 years of post-college experience in interactive or digital advertising or marketing field

  • knowledge on advertising and marketing

  • Strong marketing background and/or experience managing social media preferred

  • Excellent typographical and creative design skills, as well as strong decision-making skills relating to design, composition and colour selection for web materials

  • Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Acrobat, Premier Pro.

  • Art degree or equivalent is an asset but not required

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills (copywriting skills are an asset)
